Fear the Walking Dead has proven one thing in its third season: anyone can die. With the midseason 3 premiere arriving on Sunday night, the stage is set for the apocalypse to claim more victims.

Ahead of the midseason break, Fear the Walking Dead saw Nick Clark pull the trigger with a gun pointed to Jeremiah Otto’s head. Jeremiah, played by Dayon Callie, was expected by many to remain on the series as a main character serving as the leader of the Broke Jaw Ranch community. The Clark family, however, had different plans.

More shocking than Jeremiah’s death was the loss of Travis in the Season 3 premiere. A stray bullet from the Native American clan’s army took Travis from the world of the Dead.

Now, with Qualetaca and his Nation group moving onto the Broke Jaw Ranch, the tension will reach all new heights as opposing views live side by side.

So, who is in the most danger heading into the back half if Fear the Walking Dead Season 3?

Madison- Safe. If one thing has been made clear in recent episodes, it’s that Madison is in charge of this corner of the Dead universe. Playing both sides of the feud between the Ranch and the Nation would have been dangerous for someone less equipped with skills to read people but Madison brings her guidance counselor skills and newly adopted survival tactics to the table now.

Alicia- Safe. Alicia has evolved throughout Fear the Walking Dead more than any character (possibly with the exception of Ofelia). Finally, the youngest Clark sibling knows what is necessary and smart to survive. Though she still seems a bit reluctant to accept the cruelty of this world, Alicia is ready to do what in necessary when it matters moster.

Nick- Danger. The murderer of Jeremiah Otto runs the risk of the truth coming out. If Troy Otto or members of the Ranch’s militia learn that Jeremiah did not actually commit suicide, Nick will become the number one target.

Troy- Danger. If anyone is going to have trouble accepting Walker’s Nation moving on to Broke Jaw’s land, it’s Troy Otto. Having lost his father, Troy feels little left to live for and might just act out.

Sam- Danger. Sam insists on holding on to his moral compass. Fans of the Dead universe know how that goes… He should just ask Dale, Hershel, Tyreese…..

Walker- Safe. Walker is a powerful, brave, and capable character who is bringing an army of followers to a new location they have been eager to conquer. His current situation puts him comfortably in control of the Ranch, with Madsion.

Ofelia- Danger. Though Ofelia has evolved and become a key member of the Nation, the character might be on the wrong side of a battle which may or may not be on the horizon. Of course, nothing can happen to Ofelia ahead of the inevitable reunion with her father.

Daniel- Safe. Like Ofelia, Daniel can’t go anywhere before the family reunion, but he is in a much safer position to survive to see it. The character is a high ranking member at the dam formerly ruled by Dante and more aware of his surroundings and capable to handle them than anyone near him.

Strand- Safe. Victor Strand may not be a warrior but he is a sly survivor ready to say whatever it takes to create a better situation for himself.

Directly preceding the return of Fear the Walking Dead, AMC will air a Season 8 preview special for The Walking Dead.

Fear the Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9 pm ET on AMC.
