A pair of characters bowed out in The Walking Dead’s Bury Me Here episode, both of which debuted in Season 7. The Kingdom’s Benjamin was shot in the leg when a drop meeting between his community and the Saviors went south, ultimately bleeding out while his friends cared for him at Carol’s house.

Later in the episode, Richard was killed, as well. However, his death came from within the Kingdom shortly after Morgan learned he was responsible for Benjamin’s death, having staged the bad encounter between the Saviors and the Kingdom.

A new batch of photos released by AMC offers a behind-the-scenes look at Richard and Benjamin’s death, as they appeared on the set of Bury Me Here.

Some of the new photos show Morgan Jones in the aftermath of Richard’s death, dealing with the fact that he broke his “all life is precious” creed and earning the trust of the Saviors again. However, it all appears to be a part of Richard’s plan to attack the Saviors when they least expect it. King Ezekiel’s genuinely shocked reaction is on display throughout the moments with Khary Payton’s face offering a wide range of emotions.
