On Sunday night, AMC will air a new episode of its hit zombie drama The Walking Dead.

The new episode, which is scheduled to air for eight minutes longer than the standard 10 pm ET ending, is called “Hostiles and Calamities.”
The official synopsis for Hostiles and Calamities reads, “An Alexandrian finds themselves having to navigate the mysterious, confusing, and terrifying world within The Saviors’ compound.” That Alexandrian is Eugene Porter and he will be at the forefront of the episode as Negan tries to turn him into his own personal bullet manufacturer.
Last seen in the midseason 7 finale, Eugene was revealed as the man who made the bullet which pierced Lucille’s skin. In the week’s since, The Walking Dead has elected to follow Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, King Ezekiel, Carol Pelettier, and other characters who have not been interacting with the Saviors. For the first time in 2017, we will pay Dwight, Negan, and the Sanctuary a visit as they discover Fat Joey has been killed and Daryl has escaped his cell.
Given the pacing and tone of the back half of the season, Episode 7×11 might even have a little bit of humor to it. The past two episodes have injected some levity into an extremely dark season but the ratings have shown this to be a success. Episode 7×09 pulled in 14 million viewers and earned the second best ratings of the season. Episode 7×10 earned over 12 million pairs of eyeballs and posted the fourth-best ratings of the season. Episode 7×11 will only look to build on those successes.
With the character fans love to hate returning on Sunday night, the episode will have a lot of fans to satisfy as it diverts from following Rick for the first time in three weeks and shows us what Negan is up to with his merry band of Saviors.
The episode will air on AMC. To watch Hostile and Calamities online, AMC will post the episode to their official site after it airs, viewable upon logging in with cable or satelite provider account information.
