New international promos for the upcoming seventh season of The Walking Dead have been released… and they’re chilling.

Recapping the closing moments of season 6, the new promos force us to imagine what it will be like to lose each of the eleven candidates to meet the business end of Lucille: Aaron, Sasha, Rosita, Eugene, Daryl, Carl, Rick, Michonne, Maggie, Glenn and Abraham.
The promos (which come from Fox because the network hosts The Walking Dead internationally) don’t contain any new footage from Season 7 but we can expect to see some new looks a couple of weeks before the show returns. A special event announced at New York Comic Con promises fans a special sneak preview at the episodes to come.
For now, check out each of the new promos on the following slides!
The Walking Dead will return for its seventh season on October 23 at 9 PM ET on AMC. For complete coverage, insider info, and more all season long, follow @BrandonDavisBD on Twitter and check out The Walking Dead on ComicBook.com on Facebook.
Aaron
The youngest face of the series to be tossed into Negan’s line up is Aaron.
The Aaron promo reflects on all of Aaron’s moments since Rick’s group arrived in Alexandria. The recruiter found himself trapped with Daryl early on, fought for his life with Morgan, had moments of joy with his boyfriend and even found a horse in the wild.
Aaron’s death wouldn’t exactly rock the landscape of The Walking Dead but it would certainly resonate with the natives to Alexandria.
Sasha
Relationships on The Walking Dead never seem to end well. Just ask Ed, Shane, Reg, Jessie or Lori. History tends to repeat itself and if that’s the case, Sashaย could be in trouble.
The valuable and brave soldier once lost herself following the death of her brother Tyreese and loss of her boyfriend Bob but in her relationship with Abraham has bounced back. She is no longer trying to die but rather survive and grow with the Alexandria community.
Like Aaron, Sasha’sย death wouldn’t be a major game changer for the series but certain characters would be largely effected by her loss.
Rosita
The newly single bad-ass Rosita is another character who wouldn’t shake things up by dying but would certainly spark some outrage in characters such as Abraham and Eugene.
Rosita’s promo reflects on her moments with the odd brothers, from the time they were introduced in front of the army vehicle, gunning down walkers, and her tough relationship end with Abraham.
Rick
Most fans don’t expect Rick to be the one to have his head bashed in by Negan’sย bat but, at the same time, most won’t rule it out completely.
Killing Rick would be the biggest game changer The Walking Dead could ever throw into the mix. A new leader would be forced to emerge and every single character’s lives would be largely altered. As seen in Rick’s promo, the character has come a tremendous distance from the time her awoke from his coma in the Atlanta hospital. Heartbreak, peril, and triumph have accompanied him along the way.
Michonne
Another character who would be a huge loss is Michonne. The character has grown, arguably more than most other candidates, since her introduction back at the prison in. Technically, she first appeared in the season 2 finale, though at the time Danaiย Gurira hadn’t even been cast for the role yet.
The once introverted,ย katanaย wielding soldier dealt with the loss of her family early on and has moved on to integrate herself into the Grimes family. Playing mom to Carl and girlfriend to Rick hasย may have her acting a bit complacently which in the world of the apocalypse is always costly. That said, Negan’s kill is random and won’t be selected based on who is inferior to or stronger than others.
Maggie
The pregnant Maggie Greene is already struggling. To lose her on her way to the Hilltop where she only wanted to deal with the issues surrounding her unborn child would be devastating.
The Maggie promo takes us back to when Maggie was introduced on her father’s farm in season 2 and showcases the lovable relationship between her and Glenn.
Maggie’s loss would prompt a huge response from Rick, Glenn, Michonne and other members of the group. It would, however, be a huge diversion from the story of The Walking Dead comics.
Glenn
The most popular choice for fans, Glenn Rhee was the character brutally slain by Negan in the comics. His inclusion in the line up makes him the frontrunnerย for who will be killed but also one of the most devastating losses should he meet his doom.
Glenn’s promo takes us through the times when he drove a Challenger through apocalyptic Atlanta shortly after saving Rick from the tank, his relationship with Maggie, and other moments both joyous and full of grief. Losing Glenn, one of the few characters remaining from the show’sย first season, would be a devastating loss for fans and make a huge impact on the series going forward.
Eugene
Eugene is all but dead already. Not only did he get badly beaten in the season finale back in April but he handed over the bullet manufacturing recipe, making him disposable to Alexandria and a popular choice for theorists.
While Eugene’s death wouldn’t exactly stop the wheels from turning in Alexandria seeing as he is not an integral part of the community’s survival, his loss would make a major impact on characters such as Abraham, Rosita, and Rick. His character has come a long way since being introduced as a liar trying to gain protection by saying he had a cure to the infection.
Daryl
If Daryl dies, just lock your doors and windows. The riots will be real.
To cap the sixth season, Daryl was badly injured by a gunshot and last seen with life fading from him as Negan menacingly degraded our beloved group of survivors. Daryl’s death would take out one of Rick’s right hand guys from the earliest moments of the series and start a fire in several characters, especially Carol — who sat out the trip to the Hilltop because she ran away on her own.
Would the writers have the gall to kill off fan favorite Daryl Dixon?
Carl
This poor kid has been through enough. Carl Grimes has been shot twice and put down his own mother. Don’t strike him down just as the world looked like it might be okay and he has hope of having a girlfriend!
Carl’s promo is pretty terrifying, especially because it prompts the thought of Negan bashing in the brains of a teenager. His loss would change Rick forever and turn Alexandria into an instant army with a symbol to rally behind. In fact, it would probably be the worst move Neganย could make.
Abraham
Another popular choice by theorists is that Abraham gets the bat. His character’s comic book death was handed off to Denise Cloydย in shocking fashion a few episodes prior to Negan’s arrival so his fate is unpredictable for fans who use the source material as a back up.
On top of Abraham’s escape from his comic book death, he finds himself in a relationship that looks like it could almost have a happy ending. That never spells “good things to come.” It seems like the writing may be on the wall for Alexandria’s toughest soldier who has made plenty of memories through interesting relationships and colorful dialogue in his few seasons on the series.
