The Walking Dead won't be the same following Sunday's midseason finale according to Enid actress Katelyn Nacon.

Nacon, who was bumped up to series regular for the show's eighth season, has already made dark promises regarding the final episode of 2017. Now, the 18-year-old actress is teasing gamechanging moments in Episode 8x08 which should strike both fear and hope into the hearts of fans.

"It's going to be a mid-season finale so there's going to be some drama of course," Nacon told Metro. "There's always drama with this show. There's going to be a change that happens. Not necessarily a huge shift, but the second half of the season is going to be pretty different emotionally."

A change might be what The Walking Dead needs, seeing as its ratings continue to slide. However, killing the wrong character could spur backlash just as the Season 7 premiere appeared to do.

"It's more of a shift with the way the characters are emotionally and in their mental state," Nacon added. "I feel like fans are going to have a love/hate relationship with it."

The All Out War story has not been quite as deadly as fans may have expected thus far. The major deaths have merely included Aaron's boyfriend Eric and Ezekiel's tiger Shiva, both of which were characters in need of the possessive descriptions for some to identify them. Now, many are speculating someone like Carl Grimes or Daryl Dixon might meet a grim fate before 2017 comes to an end.

With the ratings continuing to slide through Season 8, hitting a new low in Episode 8x07, Nacon's tease of a "love/hate" moment in Sunday's episode might represent a gamechanger which could make or break the AMC series' future.
