A new promotion for The Walking Dead‘s seventh season has been airing on AMC and Instagram user jav313 has shared a look at it with the Internet.

In the new promo, footage from the Comic Con trailer is recycled to comprise most of it but a new clip of Negan swinging his bat crosses the screen. No, he is not swinging his bat at one of the potential victims but, instead, he is twirling Lucille over his shoulder with a smug grin.
Looking closely, a watermark can be seen over the new footage of Negan for some reason. The editing team likely didn’t catch the mistake prior to publishing the clip.
Of course, the one thing every fan of The Walking Dead fan is looking for with new previews isn’t here. There are no new clues as to who Negan killed. Recent set photos revealed major spoilers about three survivors from Negan’s line-up, though, and recent statements from Abraham actor Michael Cudlitz seem to indicate his fate, as well.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s Negan will becoming the centerpiece of The Walking Dead moving forward. The comic book counterpart of the role has become a fan-favorite thanks to his vicious, unpredictable nature and colorful language. The language won’t be directly adapted to television given AMC’s lack of desire to pay insane fines to the FCC but alternate versions of scenes involving the F-word laced lines have made their way to the blu-ray and DVD sets.
The Walking Dead returns for its seventh season at 9 PM ET on October 23 on AMC. For updates, insider info, and more all season long, follow @BrandonDavisBD on Twitter.
