'The Walking Dead' Season 8 Episode 5: The Big Scary U

On Sunday night, AMC will air the fifth episode of The Walking Dead's eight season, featuring the return of several key characters.

The Walking Dead Episode 8x05 is titled, "The Big Scary U." The official synopsis for The Big Scary U reads, "With war raging all around him, we get a close look at Negan and the lives of the Saviors during the conflict through a familiar set of eyes."

Negan was last seen in the Season 8 premiere of The Walking Dead, trapped in a trailer with Alexandria's Father Gabriel surrounded by walkers. It was a move Rick Grimes inflicted after leading a herd to the Saviors' doorstep at the Sanctuary.

Episode 8x05 will start with a flashback, seeing Father Gabriel pray for a fruitful death should his time be up, and thanking his lord for blessing him thus far. Meanwhile, Gregory's traitorous ways are revealed as he conspires with Negan's right hand man Simon within the Sanctuary in a sequence which takes place after The Walking Dead's Season 7 finale but before the Season 8 premiere.

In the same episode, the Saviors will have to learn how to function without Negan being present to lead them.
