Jeffrey Dean Morgan has played a variety of characters over his successful career, but it's hard to envision any of them having the immediate impact that Negan has had on The Walking Dead fandom. It turns out some of his foul-mouthed attributes have managed to find their way into hs real life as well, just from an unlikely source.

The actor recently appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden alongside actor Matt Leblanc, and the topic of curse words came up, specifically a new phrase that Morgan's six-year-old son recently added to his vocabulary.

"It's been tricky and he knows them all. He's heard me work on Negan and he's also heard me drop stuff on my foot, but the other day he was having an issue because he always wants to have a computer right now. iPads and computers and I had drawn a line in the sand and said no, and he goes up to my wife who's standing there and he's like "(sigh)...mom, I don't know why dad's being such a douchebag."

As parents know, your first reaction to something so unexpected is to laugh as you try and process what your child just said or did. The same was true for Morgan, who had to turn away to make sure his son didn't see him laughing.

"Six, and my head snaps because one I have to look away, because my first reaction is to laugh my ass off, and then I grab him by the scruff of the neck, put him in his room, ran out to the hall and Hillary and I are laughing our asses off, and I went back in and had to have a sit down with him for like a half hour. Do you even know what that means? "Noooo". Well, you used it correctly in a sentence."

You always want your kids to pick up new words to help build their vocabulary, but Douchebag is probably not one such term. Granted, compared to Negan that phrase might as well be fluffy unicorns. The character is known for having a foul mouth in the books, and Morgan was able to successfully channel that on screen. For their sakes, hopefully, douchebag is the worse it gets in the Morgan household.

The Walking Dead returns this Sunday with "The Kingdom".
