Watch ‘The Walking Dead’ Cast’s “Coral” Impressions

The Walking Dead has given rise to almost as many memes as it has zombies over the course of its eight seasons, but none as prevalent as “Coral” — a cheeky play on the way Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) pronounces “Carl,” the name of his sheriff’s hat wearing son (played by Chandler Riggs).

Past and present cast members including Norman Reedus (Daryl), Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan), Lauren Cohan (Maggie), Khary Payton (Ezekiel), Ross Marquand (Aaron), Seth Gilliam (Father Gabriel), Melissa McBride (Carol), Tom Payne (Jesus), Pollyanna McIntosh (Jadis), Alexandra Breckenridge (Jessie) and Coral himself, Chandler Riggs, all give it a go — and perhaps unsurprisingly, the best Coral cry by leading man Lincoln has yet to be topped.

Marquand — whose impressive celebrity impressions are well-noted at this point — gives Lincoln a run for his money, as does Payne, who isn’t afraid to lean into a more anguished-sounding Rick impression. The star should watch his back, though — McBride’s hilarious take on Rick Grimes could just lead to Carol trading in her apron for Rick’s Colt Python.
