Fall Is Still the Perfect Time to Binge This Iconic TV Series (Here’s Where It’s Streaming This Year)

When it comes to revisiting beloved movies and TV, the arrival of September can really only mean one of two things — and they really couldn’t be more different. For many, September starts the beginning of Halloween season, meaning that it’s time to once again start all of your favorite horror movie marathons. But for a lot of other folks, the beginning of fall means that a return to the quaint and highly caffeinated town of Stars Hollow is in order.

Let’s be honest, there isn’t a TV show around that captures the feeling or attitude of fall quite like Gilmore Girls. Sure, it first debuted 25 years ago, but nothing has even come close to re-creating the cozy, small-town sentiments of Amy Sherman-Palladino’s iconic dramedy. There’s a reason that, two decades later, fans are still revisiting the series every single autumn.

Watching through the adventures of Rory, Lorelai, and Emily Gilmore can take a while, with 153 episodes in the series, but it’s the kind of breezy, comfortable show that makes for an easy binge. And before you say anything let’s get this out of the way once and for all: Yes, Emily is absolutely one of the Gilmore Girls. She might be the best Gilmore Girl, who’s to say? (Me, for the record. I say.)

Where to Stream Gilmore Girls

As the leaves start to change here in the next couple of weeks, Gilmore Girls will be on TVs around the country, with the sounds of a bustling Luke’s becoming a staple of background noise in a ton of our homes. Before embarking on another Gilmore Girls binge in 2025, anyone who doesn’t already have the season DVD sets sitting on a shelf will obviously be looking for where the series is available to stream.

Fortunately, Gilmore Girls isn’t one of those shows that’s hard to find online today, as it’s currently available on multiple popular streaming services. You can find all seven seasons of the series on both Netflix and Hulu, so you can use either service to binge the series from start to finish.

Netflix has a little bit of a leg up on Hulu when it comes to Gilmore Girls, solely because it released the Gilmore Girls follow-up series, A Year in the Life. That four-episode revival remains available exclusively on Netflix’s streaming lineup, despite the fact that it aired on TV back in 2020.

While this isn’t a streaming service, it’s worth noting that The Hallmark Channel is also all-in on Gilmore Girls in 2025. The network acquired the rights to air reruns of the series this fall, with episodes beginning on Hallmark back on August 26th.

Other Ways to Get in a Stars Hollow Mood This Fall

The start of fall always brings big product tie-ins for Gilmore Girls, given how popular the series becomes at this time of year, and 2025 is now different. This year, around the show’s 25th anniversary, one of the most prominent tie-ins comes from sleep device company Hatch.

For the Gilmore Girls anniversary, Hatch has brought one of the most beloved sounds of the show to its devices through the Hatch+ service. The iconic “La La La” song from Gilmore Girls (Sam Phillips’ “Waltz #1”) is currently available on Hatch+ as an alarm sound, helping users wake up to a Stars Hollow kind of morning. The fall catalogue also features a “Pumpkin Spice” Sunrise Alarm that pairs with the Gilmore Girl’s sound.

Stores like Walmart, Target, and Boxlunch also always carry Gilmore Girls products in the fall, so they are worth checking. Vera Bradley launched a highly anticipated Gilmore Girls pattern to celebrate the 25th anniversary, but the products quickly sold out. Hopefully there will be a restock at some point.

However you choose to get into the Gilmore Girls spirit this year, make sure you have a cup of coffee in Luke’s honor. He says he doesn’t care about stuff like that, but you know he’s just trying to be a tough guy.
