Fantastic Four Sequel Pushed Back A Week To Avoid Star Wars VIII

20th Century Fox has shuffled around the release date for the Fantastic Four sequel once again, according to BoxOffice.com.

Earlier today, Disney announced that Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: Episode VIII will arrive in theaters May 26, 2017. Fantastic Four 2 had been scheduled to open on June 2, 2017, a week after Star Wars VIII. Now, Fox has decided to give it more wiggle room by pushing it back a week later to June 9th of 2017.

That is the second time Fox has rescheduled the Fantastic Four sequel. It was initially set to open on July 14, 2017 before getting pushed up to June.

Fantastic Four will land in theaters August 7, 2015.
