In an interview with Nerdist, screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely talked about their most recent film, Captain America: Civil War, but they also talked about their next project. The screenwriters, who are teamed consistently with directors the Russo Brothers, are working once again with them on Avengers: Infinity War (not final title), which will unite the heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe against Thanos.

And yes, it seems, that means it will be not just the Avengers, but the Guardians of the Galaxy as well. While they haven't officially been confirmed, it seems like just about everyone working on the project has teased the team appearing in the film already - everyone except the writers, though we can't say that anymore.

"Certainly interested in it!" Markus said when asked about the Guardians appearing in their MCU culmination two-film project. "It's very interesting," McFeely added with a smile.

"Let me put it this way," Markus elaborated, "You know who owns that gauntlet, right? And you know who's in another movie, whose kids are in that movie... You do the math!"

Markus was, of course, talking about Thanos. In the MCU, Thanos's daughters are Gamora and Nebula, both of whom are - you guessed it - in both Guardians of the Galaxy films! Add that, plus Drax's connection to him, plus the universe-shattering implications of the villain known as the Mad Titan getting his hands on all the universally powerful Infinity Stones, and well, as Markus said, it adds up - to the Guardians appearing in Infinity War.

If you didn't think this was the case by now, you probably haven't been watching a lot of Marvel Studios films. Now about those Marvel/Netflix characters...
