When it comes to The Flash, it seems like Caitlin Snow can't get a break when it comes to love. The doctor suffered all sorts of heartbreak in Season One as she thought her fiancé Ronnie Raymond had died when the particle accelerator at S.T.A.R. Labs exploded. Then, after she found out he survived the blast, Caitlin lost Ronnie for good when he sacrificed himself to save Central City. Season Two of The Flash teased fans with Caitlin's love life as she grew closer to Jay Garrick. And, now, fans can see how the duo's first date went in this new deleted scene.

The video shows Caitlin and Jay grabbing coffee at a local shop. Sitting down, Jay remarks, "You know, you don't get too many coffee dates when you only know five people in the universe," before he bumps his knee into Caitlin. The doctor looks understandably flustered by the line, so she changes the subject and asks Jay how he's adjusting to their Earth. He tells her that he's worried about his own Central City, but he does enjoy all the things Earth-1 has to offer. "This world also has a lot mine doesn't - a lot of beauty to offer," he says.

However, their date gets cut short when Caitlin changes the subject again and asks Jay for help. Another visitor from Earth-2 has made it to Central City, and the stranger is none other than Harrison Wells. When Jay is told about the new arrival, his demeanor changes entirely as he demands to know where Harrison is.

This scene acts a precursor to Jay's growing attraction to Caitlin, one which fans weren't sure the doctor reciprocated. Of course, they learned she wasn't interested in Jay soon enough after it was revealed that Jay wasn't who he claimed to be. Rather than being Earth-2's Flash, Jay was really Zoom - the main antagonist of Season Two. Determined to kill any speedsters in the multiverse, Zoom came to Earth-1 to eliminate Barry Allen and unexpectedly fell in love. Understandably, it was an unrequited sentiment.

Caitlin manages to evade Zoom's aggressive advances as the villain goes so far as to kidnap her, leaving her relieved when the baddie got locked away. However, Caitlin did get to meet the real Jay Garrick, but he's not someone she'd start a relationship with. The new character shows up at the end of Season Two and looks exactly like Henry Allen. Known as The Flash of Earth-3, Jay had been taken captive by Zoom as the villain tried to steal the hero's Speed Force. Jay is set to reappear in Season Three of The Flash as actor John Wesley Shipp confirmed he'd signed on to reprise the role.

The Flash is set to return to the CW on October 4 2016 at 8 p.m. ET.
