Suicide Squad Extended Cut Did Not Contain These Joker Deleted Scenes

While Suicide Squad Extended Cut did add over 11 minutes of previously deleted footage including more scenes of Jared Leto's Joker, quite a few scenes were still left behind on the cutting room floor.

A new video (above) outlines which scenes were left out of the Extended Cut, from something as simple as Joker banging his head on the window of his purple Lambo to more telling scenes like when he kills and beats several innocent people.

Unfortunatley, Joker only got 7 minutes of screentime in the theatrical version of Suicide Squad and Jared Leto's personal incarnation of the Clown Prince of Crime was grossly underused and underdeveloped.

Joker was portrayed as a crazy love sick puppydog and virtually harmless. All he wanted to do was get his gal Harley Quinn back by his side in a romantacized version of their tortured, abusive comic book love story.

The Extended Cut added more depth to every character, including Joker and Harley Quinn, but we still didn't see just how violent Joker could be.

The scenes in the above video mostly show Joker acting out his violent, maniacal tendencies, which would have helped develop his character more.

After watching the above video, maybe we can stop asking Jared Leto why his version of the Joker took him so much time and effort to perfect.

As with any movie, what is actually written and then filmed, doesn't always come out of the post-production process in the theatrical cut.

Suicide Squad is currently available on Digital HD and will land on Blu-ray December 13.
