During a recent appearance at Heroes & Villains Fan Fest, Arrow star Stephen Amell had the opportunity to weigh in with what he thought was probably his character's biggest regret.

After having been stranded on an island (or at least far from home) for five years, Oliver Queen returned...and he's been a little bit down, right? The whole hooded vigilante thing has provided audiences with some entertainment, but generally speaking, Oliver's own mood has rarely lightened, except for a while at the beginning of season 4, which turned out to be short-lived.

"It probably is not Felicity, becuase he's had literal family members murdered in front of him. Sorry," Amell told a fan who shouted from the audience that "Felicity" should be his answer.

It wasn't immediately clear whether they meant that entering into a relationship with Felicity should be his answer, or losing her. If the latter, he'd already dealt with some irate "Olicity" shippers in the panel and said that he believes Oliver is "already being punished" for that by virtue of the fact that he would clearly like to be in a relationship with her, but they aren't in one.

"I think his biggest regret is probably not being able to save his mom," the actor said, more seriously. "For sure, that's tough. We actually viewed that episode in Walla Walla. We did a random viewing party, and we set it up -- 'It'll be really fun! There's like 200 people there!' And the episode ends, and everyone stared at me like I had just tricked them into something."

Oliver will get a chance -- albeit briefly -- to reconnect with his mother (guest star Susanna Thompson) as well as other people he's lost over the years on Wednesday, when the show's hundredth episode takes him to an alternate reality where he never became the Green Arrow.

ARROW CELEBRATES 100 EPISODES; THE EPIC SUPERHERO CROSSOVER CONTINUES — Oliver (Stephen Amell) wakes up to a life where he never got on The Queen's Gambit. Robert (guest star Jamey Sheridan) and Moira Queen (guest star Susanna Thompson) are alive and well. Laurel (guest star Katie Cassidy) is his loving fiancée and their wedding is imminent. Everything seems perfect, but Oliver starts to notice small imperfections that make him question this new reality. Meanwhile, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) and the recruits take on a new threat with help from The Flash (guest star Grant Gustin) and Supergirl (guest star Melissa Benoist).

James Bamford directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti and written by Marc Guggenheim & Wendy Mericle.

Based on the characters from DC, ARROW is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti (The Flash, Supergirl), Marc Guggenheim (Eli Stone, Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters), Andrew Kreisberg (The Flash, Supergirl), Wendy Mericle (Desperate Housewives, Eli Stone) and Sarah Schechter (Supergirl, Blindspot).
