Hunter x Hunter fans, your dreams of new content are finally coming true. It has been quite some time since the series has put out new material, but that will change soon enough. Weekly Shonen Jump will finally resume its serialization of Hunter x Hunter this month following a lengthy hiatus. And, now, a slew of new sketches from creator Yoshihiro Togashi have been revealed.

Over on Twitter, the cover art for the next volume of Hunter x Hunter was shared with fans. The 34th volume of the manga will be a compilation take, and it is slated to debut in Japan on June 26. The cover shows Hisoka in all his clownish glory as he prepares to showdown with Chrollo. A Hunter x Hunter advert was also made for Weekly Shonen Jump's English edition which shows Kurapika donning a suit.

Outside of the manga cover, Togashi has also shared a slew of scrap sketches he has done for Hunter x Hunter as of late. The images, which can be seen below, show head-shots and doodles of characters like Shalnark, Kortopi, Machi, Chrollo, and Hisoka. The comments attached to the sketches give a bit of insight into what Togashi has been into lately; The captions see the artist discuss his love for Shin Godzilla and old baseball teams which used to play throughout Japan.

If you have not kept up with Hunter x Hunter and its hiatus pains, then you should count yourself lucky. For fans, the series' absence has been an ongoing part of life. Hunter x Hunter first entered hiatus in August 2014 before it returned in April 2016. However, the manga only went forward for a couple months before Togashi went on another hiatus which has lasted until now.

Yoshihiro Togashi's manga career began in 1986 at the age of twenty, when he won the coveted Osamu Tezuka Award for new manga artists. He debuted in the Japanese Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 1989 with the romantic comedy Tende Showaru Cupid. From 1990 to 1994, he wrote and drew the hit manga YuYu Hakusho, which was followed by the dark-comedy science fiction series Level E and the adventure series Hunter x Hunter. In 1999, he married the manga artist Naoko Takeuchi.

If you are not familiar with Hunter x Hunter, then you can definitely get acquainted. The shonen series is one filled with hijinks and thrilling action since it follows a young boy named Gon Freecs who dreams of becoming a Hunter. Determined to pass the challenging Hunter Examination, Gon and his comrades begin their journey to become revered Hunters and cause a ruckus along the way.
