Man of Steel and The Dark Knight

With director Zack Snyder's decision to include a Wayne Enterprises Easter Egg in Man Of Steel as a tribute to Christopher Nolan, there has been much speculation over if Christopher Nolan's version of Batman might be part of the Man Of Steel Universe. However, Man Of Steel producer Charles Roven now seems to have squashed whatever remote hope there might have been of Christian Bale's Batman meeting Henry Cavill's Superman on the big screen. When asked in a MTV interview whether or not Christopher Nolan's Batman incarnation could co-exist in the Man Of Steel universe, Charles Roven said, "No, the Chris Nolan universe ended, as far as Chris Nolan directing, I know for sure, but I think completely with the Dark Knight trilogy." Roven added, "That's the statement and the stories that he wanted to make. Even though I have to tell you, because I produced all three of those things, he never thought about what the next movie was going to be while he was shooting the first one. He would not talk about it." Even though Christopher Nolan's Batman might be completely done, Roven did make it clear that there is a strong possibility of a Batman in the Man Of Steel universe. Roven said, "When Zack came in, it was important to him that whatever the world was that we were building here, it allow for the possibility. We didn't want to create a universe where that wasn't possible. We wanted to create a universe where that might be possible." The Man Of Steel is set to be released in movie theaters in the United States on June 14, 2013.
