Stephen Amell is out promoting his new movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, in which he plays vigilante Casey Jones, but with the announcement that Supergirl, formerly on CBS, would be sharing a home with Arrow at the CW, fans want to know what the move means for how the two show swill interact.
When asked about the prospect of a Supergirl/Arrow crossover, Amell seemed pretty confident that it would come to pass.
"Do bears 'you know what' in the woods?" Amell responded to Loaded Online. "I think that it's highly likely that, if you have four DC superhero properties on one network, that that is an opportunity that might not ever exist again, and certainly hasn't ever existed in the history of television. So I expect them to do something."
In its first season, Supergirl managed to cross the network divide to pull off a crossover with The Flash. However, that crossover involved a jump between alternate Earths, which is really more of a Flash thing than an Arrow thing. Perhaps Greg Berlanti, producer on Arrow, Supergirl, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow, is already brainstorming ways to get Kara and Ollie on screen together.
Arrow has two episodes left in its fourth season. In tonight's episode, "Monument Point," when Team Arrow learns what Damien Darhk's (guest star Neal McDonough) next move is Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) realizes she needs to ask her father, Noah Kuttler (guest star Tom Amandes), for help. Noah and Oliver (Stephen Amell) have a heart to heart talk that leaves Oliver rattled.
Arrow airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on the CW.
