'Arrow's Stephen Amell Teases "Crisis On Earth-X" Crossover As A 4-Hour Movie

The Arrowverse's next crossover is on the horizon, and Arrow star Stephen Amell says it will be an event unlike any other.
During a recent panel at Salt Lake Comic Con, Amell spoke about the upcoming 'Crisis on Earth X' event, which will see the Arrowverse's roster of heroes fighting their dopplegangers. And as Amell hinted, the series of four episodes will feel like a genuine crossover, something fans have eagerly wanted in the past.
"When we first did the crossover, I guess back in our third season and The Flash's first season, it was very much like 'It's an episode of The Flash where I show up, and then an episode of Arrow where he shows up.'" Amell explained. "And even last year, it was like 'You know, Flash showed up on Supergirl, and then it was an episode of The Flash, an episode of Arrow, and an episode of Legends.' But this year is just a four-hour movie."
The two-night event will also see the four shows airing in a unique order, which Amell hinted will bring about some interesting storytelling opportunities.
"Technically it goes Supergirl, Arrow, Flash, and Legends." Amell added. "But you're not supposed to be watching the Supergirl hour going 'Okay, this is the Supergirl hour.' It's just the first hour of the crossover."
And while Amell was mum on the plot details, he did share his personal reaction towards reading the crossover for the first time.
"I can't spoil it, other than to say that when I read the crossover scripts this year, I felt compelled to email the sort of original [Arrow] team of Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim." Amell revealed. "And the email just simply said 'Guys, thank you so much for this opportunity, because it's going to be really, really good.'"
The 'Crisis on Earth X' crossover event will air on November 27th and 28th.
Arrow returns on Thursday, October 12 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, following the season premiere of Supernatural.
