After successfully fending off the Daxamite invasion and exiling her lover from Earth in the process, Supergirl is trying to say goodbye to Kara Danvers.

A new trailer for the show's Season Three premiere teases that Supergirl is diving headfirst into heroics and forgoing her personal life in an attempt to cope with Mon-El's absence. Check it out in the video above!

While she floats over National City at night, waiting to aid where she's next needed, a newscaster reports that "it seems that Supergirl is just about everywhere these days," hinting at how she's dealing with the heartbreak.

The clip is loaded with teases for the season premiere as well as the new season, including a glimpse of new cast member Odette Annabel as Reign.

While it does briefly show a clip from the Season Two finale, in which Reign's pod escapes Krypton before the planet's destruction, it also shows her civilian identity of Samantha Arias as well as her daughter.

The show's producers have stated that they want to show the creation of a villain in the upcoming season, showing us how Samantha goes from being a seemingly ordinary citizen, unaware of her Kryptonian heritage, to the deadly Worldkiller known as Reign.

Fans also get a tease of villains Robert DuBois, also known as Bloodsport, and a mysterious character in a black coat. Since we only see the back of her head and an arm as she touches a police officer on his knees, it's unclear if she's a baddie although the imagery suggests she is. Is that our first look at Yael Grobglas as the villain Psi? Given how people are bending to her will, that seems likely.

Supergirl is also celebrated at a ceremony in National City where she is presented with a statue for her heroics, and J'onn J'onnz calls her the strongest person he knows.

While the hero struggles with her identity, sister Alex tells her that "Kara Danvers is my favorite person. She's saved me more times than Supergirl ever could."

Kara will have a lot on her plate this year with the coming of a member of the Legion of Superheroes, as The CW just announced that Amy Jackson has been cast as Saturn Girl for the show.

We'll see how Supergirl deals with an invasion from the future after the show returns to The CW on Monday, October 9.
