Jared Leto hasn't suited up as the Joker for awhile now, but the star wants fans to know he's still buff enough to do so. The 45-year-old actor took to social media to show off his abs, and fans are wondering when the Joker got so attractive.

Sexuality crises aside, the selfie Leto posted shows how toned the actor is these days. The picture was shared on Instagram with all his followers, and fans are ogling the actor-singer without shame.

Fans are happy to see that Leto is keeping in shape, but some wonder if the actor's rock-hard abs are in preparation for his next Joker gig. The actor is set to star in a Joker & Harley Quinn standalone that will pit the two Gotham villains against one another. Reports have called the film a "criminal love story," and Leto will reprise his role with Margot Robbie's Harley. There's no word on when the film will start to film, but Leto looks ready to get back into action whenever called for.

Leto's portrayal of the Joker was introduced back in Suicide Squad, and its controversial reception has not dampened the actor's love of the clown. The star spoke with On-Demand Entertainment about his DC gig during a video game launch, and Leto said he loves the villain.

"I love the Joker. He's a great character and really fun character to play. But it's a big universe, and when you play the Joker, there's no ownership there," Leto said.

"You have the honor of holding the baton for a little while and then passing it off. There are other films that are in development and I'm excited to see what comes from them."

Right now, Warner Bros. is working on another Joker film that exists outside the DCEU. The film will tell the villain's origin story, so another actor will be asked to come in and play the Clown Prince of Crime. Let's just hope the newbie has abs like Leto then, yeah?
