Today's update to the Xbox One backward compatible program was pretty epic, as we finally get to play Batman: Arkham Origins on our system, based on this news piece. But something bigger could be on the way, as we've gotten a hint at a much requested game coming to the service.

A quick look at the official Xbox One DVR logs indicates that Activision's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 could be added over the next few days to the program. The listing already shows a number of Achievements and other features about the game, even though it's not officially in there just yet.

As if that wasn't enough, the official Xbox DVR account on Twitter also talked about the game, explaining, "New game added: #ModernWarfare2 View the top content! #xboxone #xboxdvr #xboxlive".

The account originally noted that the game would be available today, but it wasn't included in the four pack of titles that were announced, which include the Batman game along with Deadliest Warrior: The Game, Disney's Bolt and Fighting Vipers. There could be another title coming Thursday, as that's prone to how the program works, and Modern Warfare 2 could be next in line. But nothing has been made official as of yet.

It would be a smart move on Activision's part, since the original Modern Warfare has been seeing a bit of resurgence since the release of Modern Warfare Remastered as a separate game for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. And who knows, that could lead to Modern Warfare 3 down the road, as well as the original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, for those that didn't decide to upgrade just yet. But don't take that as confirmation – at least, not yet.

Remember, Call of Duty: Black Ops II was requested for the longest time through the program, with Xbox denying it so many times before it was finally added as a surprise title. Modern Warfare 2 could see a similar result, so don't be too shocked if it happens over the next few days.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is available now for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
