Archie Comics has provided ComicBook.com with an exclusive preview of Archie Comics Annual #256, the nearly 200-page, holiday-themed issue hitting stores on Wednesday.

Unlike most holiday issues, which often feel like a disruption in the action of Big Two adventure books and the like, Archie's holiday stories tend to be pretty much exactly what you'd want from a publisher that does all-ages friendly work you can find at the supermarket. The day-to-day nature of Archie's characters makes a step outside of the norm to celebrate Christmas not only welcome but logical, as well.

You can check out the preview pages, along with the solicitation text for the issue, below.

ARCHIE COMICS ANNUAL #256

The night before Christmas Eve one of Santa's less-famous reindeer, Flander, hopes to have a chance to make the team in case there's a last minute cancellation by one of the top nine. He goes out for a test flight and gets lost in a terrible snowstorm—and winds up literally "crashing" at Archie's house! Now it's up to Archie and Vegas to get Flander back to the North Pole. See if they can fix this Christmas conundrum in "It Looks Like Reindeer!" the all-new lead story to this comics annual!
