The newly-released theatrical trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens was viewed 88 million times in the first twenty-four hours of being online, according to Disney.

The 88 million views shatters the previous record for most number of trailer views in the first 24 hours, which had been held by Furious 7. The latest installment in the Fast & Furious franchise had logged 62 million trailer views in its first 24 hours back in November 2014.

The announcement came at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim today, where they’ve been debuting new information and footage all weekend long — including the trailer itself.

Set thirty years after Star Wars: Episode VI : Return of the Jedi, Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens continues of the intergalactic saga created by George Lucas. It stars Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford,  Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, and Oscar Issac.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is scheduled to be released in theaters on December 18, 2015.
