Reynolds, who will star as Marvel’s Merc With a Mouth in Deadpool, recently expressed his intense appreciation to the person who leaked Deadpool test footage in 2011, sparking a rabid Internet campaign that ended with a Deadpool movie actually happening. And Reynolds wants to repay that leaker backโ€”in full.

“And not just a little kiss,” he told Entertainment Weekly, “but full on the mouth, sloppy, with tongue, for two straight minutes on live television, without commercial interruption. And then I’ll buy you dinner at Red Lobster, at least, and dessert.”

Sounds like a fair trade. But at the very least, that person can check out the new photo of Reynolds as Deadpool, which was released earlier this morning.

And if a Deadpool film wasn’t enough, fans will be treated to an “R” rated adventure that really captures Deadpool’s seedy roots. As producer Simon Kinberg assured, Deadpool will take full advantage of its rating.

“Deadpool is a hard R,” he told EW. “It’s graphic. Nothing is taboo. You either commit to a truly outrageous boundary-pushing kind of movie or you don’t.”

Director Tim Miller backed that testament up, describing Deadpool as a Marvel-meets-Fight Club film.

“I felt Fight Club and Tyler Durden were good corollaries,” he says. “We are in strip clubs and dive bars and crappy apartments and far away from the shiny X-Men world.”
