Shade VFX has released a new 6-minute video highlighting the digital effects their team of artists created for the Netflix series Daredevil. They were solely responsible for the visual effects seen in Daredevil, which earned them an Emmy-nomination in the “Outstanding Special Visual Effects” category.

“For Daredevil, we produced over a thousand supporting visual effects shots over the entire series,” said Bryan Godwin Shade VFX CEO and Executive VFX Supervisor. “And these ranged from complete digital doubles where stunts weren’t safe to have Daredevil jumping off a rooftop, to blood-hits and wounds. In particular, there was a lot of support to the idea of the violence and gore that happens in Daredevil. Which was a big departure from Marvel โ was to try and set this story in a more realistic and dark place, the real streets of New York.”
