Black Panther will star Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa, king of the African nation of Wakanda and the latest hero to become the country’s Black Panther. The film was teased with the appearance of Black Panther’s nemesis, Klaw (Andy Serkis) in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Black Panther will make his debut in Captain America: Civil War.

Cole was previously rumored to working on the script for Marvel’s Inhumans, but those rumors were never confirmed.

A recent report suggesting that Straight Outta Compton director F Gary Gray was in line to direct Black Panther. The Wrap directly contradicts this report, saying that Marvel has decided not to pursue a director until a script was finished, after creative differences with Ava DuVernay led Selma director to decline the job. Considering Gray now seems poised to helm the next Fast & Furious movie, this seems to make sense.
