Star Wars' Harrison Ford Had Amnesia After His Plane Crash

In March, Harrison Ford experienced mechanical failures with the single-engine plane he was piloting and was forced to crash land it on an L.A. golf course. While appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Ford told the host he can't recall much of what happened just before impact because he suffered retrograde amnesia.

"I remember some of it," Ford explained. "I remember the engine stopping. I remember that part very well. And then I remember telling the tower what I was going to do and then I remember their suggestion. Their suggestion was to take the normal route to land. And I knew I was going to do that so I said, 'No.' And that's the last thing I remember till five days afterwards, actually."

He added, "I was told by the doctors that the amount of general anesthetics that I got induced a retrograde amnesia."

Fun Fact: Ford played a character that suffered from retrograde amnesia in Mike Nichols' 1991 film Regarding Henry. On top of that, did you know Ford's director, J.J. Abrams, makes a cameo in the film?
