With filming well underway on Justice League, Warner Bros. invited us, along with a number of other sites, to take part in set visit. During one portion, producer Deborah Snyder divulged a rough outline of the story and how much time has passed since the ending of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

“So what can I tell you about the story? Well, the story takes place a few months after we left off with BvS. As you know, with the death of Superman, his death really impacted Batman in a profound way,” Snyder explained. “And he really, I think, starts to regain his faith in humanity. He also feels like there is something coming, something imminently coming, maybe even here already. So he feels, and with the help of Diana Prince, that he needs to find the rest of the metahumans. So basically this story is about finding the group and bringing them all together. And it’s a lot of fun because we get to go on that journey, and we get to see the different personalities of all the members of the Justice League. And that’s really generally what it’s about.”
With Superman dead and buried (wink-wink), it should be fun seeing The World’s Greatest Detective track down and recruit a team of superheroes that can take on the next major threat.
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroesโBatman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flashโit may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
The film is being directed by Zack Snyder, based on a screenplay by Chris Terrio. The all-star cast includes Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash, Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Victor Stone/Cyborg, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, J. K. Simmons as Commissioner James Gordon, and Amber Heard as Mera.
Justice League will open in theaters on November 17, 2017.
