Sadly to fans all over the world who loved its creativity and toy box mentality, Disney Infinity is no more. With the release of the Finding Dory tie-ins, the game is officially dead and gone, as Disney Interactive looks to licensing deals for all of its properties (Lucasfilm, Marvel, Disney, Pixar) in triple-A game development going forward.

Some of the canceled figures and playsets were well-known from the start: Disney had been publicizing a new Star Wars playset, for example, and had the fan Toy Box Artist-chosen Peter Pan figure in the works. Their plans for Marvel, however, were fairly under wraps, though with the new movie out this fall, it was obvious that they were going to do something with Doctor Strange. Now that figure design has leaked in a new video, showing off concept art for the figure's look.

The base of the figure has his signature symbol, seen on the window and other items in the trailer and posters for the movie. The look of Doctor Strange himself is modeled in the signature Disney Infinity style after the look of Benedict Cumberbatch in the film. That shift into more Marvel Cinematic Universe-looking characters that started with the second Captain America release seems it would have continued, at least in this particular case.

Sadly, we'll never see the finished figure, or any of the other rumored characters that were planned additions this year, including a few female Marvel characters. Check out the video above, which also shows off concept designs for Peter Pan, Jafar (from Aladdin), and the Hulk Premium figure, though be warned, it may make you slightly depressed.
