Walt Disney Pictures has released several new images from the upcoming live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast.
There are several shots of Emma Watson as Belle, the beautiful and bookish protagonist. One shot includes her with the Beast, who is created with CGI but played by Dan Stevens.

Another image shows the CGI objects that are the cursed staff of the Beast’s castle. These include Lumiรจre, voiced by Ewan MacGregor, Cogsworth, voiced by Ian McKellen, Mrs. Potts, voiced by Emma Thompson, and Babette, voiced by Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
A different image offers us our first look at Luke Evans as Gaston, as he poses mightily for the patrons of a pub.
Beauty and the Beast is a live-action remake of the 1991 Academy Award-winning animated film of the same name, which was itself an adaptation of a fairy tale created by Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont’s.
The film stars an ensemble cast that includes Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Kevin Kline and Josh Gad, with the voices of Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Audra McDonald, Ian McKellen, and Emma Thompson.
Beauty and the Beast is directed by Bill Condon, produced by David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman, and written by Stephen Chbosky and Evan Spiliotopoulos.
