Supergirl, Flash, Arrow and Legends Invasion Crossover: 5 Best Trailer Moments

The CW’s Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow and the Legends of Tomorrow “Invasion!” crossover event is going to be epic for fans of DC Comics superheroes and their respective TV shows. Not only will we see the most DC Comics characters ever onscreen in the same place, but also a new mix of character dynamics and chemistry as heroes and supporting players from each respective show come together.

The “Invasion!” crossover has had a more than a few trailers to promote it, but the latest have shown off the most footage yet. We went back through the footage and found some great moments that tease the events of “Invasion!” or what could lie beyond for these CW DC TV shows. Here are the Top 5.

Honorable Mention: The Terminator Returns

We already knew he’d be back, but every time Slade Wilson/Deathstroke makes that badass entrance, we get goose bumps. 

Supergirl and Flash vs. Mystery Villain

This scene of Supergirl and Flash battling a mysterious new Metahuman (or alien?) villain has us intrigued. After a lot of digging, there’s no information we know about her. 

Is she a DC Comics character adapted for TV? A throwaway baddie? Something else? We see she has mechanical parts, so maybe she’s another CADMUS project like the Cyborg Superman? 

The Dominators Revealed

It’s always questionable how something as fantastical as a CGI alien is going to on a TV budget. However, for “Invasion!” it looks like the proper money was spent making DC Comics’ conquering race The Dominators look appropriately menacing and cunning on TV. 

Good thing: Now our heroes will have worth foes to fight.

Supergirl Role Call

One of the biggest fan questions surrounding “Invasion!” has been how the characters of The Flash, Arrow and Legends will react to the revelation of Supergirl. 

We’re sure to see more shtick related to Supergirl’s arrival (poor Diggle!), but this role call meet-and-greet sequence is pretty fun. Supergirl definitely makes her impression felt – and her interactions with Dominic Purcell’s Heatwave are some of the most unexpectedly fun. 

Firestorm vs. UFO

In what looks to be a somewhat climatic moment in “Invasion!” we see Martin Stein/Jefferson Jackson’s Firestorm flying heroically up to face what looks to be a Dominator spacecraft or weapon of some kind.

The classic comic book pose pictured here indicates that Firestorm must do something BIG in order to save the day. Could these be the full manifestation of the character’s transmutation powers? And will both halves of Firestorm survive the battle? 

 

TV Justice League Assembled

This shot says it all: Green Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and the Legends of Tomorrow all assembled together to take on the Dominator army. 

For any DC Comics fan that’s stuck with these TV shows: this right here is the reason why. Total Fangasm moment.
