Humanity is facing the greatest threat it's ever known, but their powerful allies the Autobots might not be in a position to help.
In the latest TV spot for Transformers: The Last Knight, the conflict has escalated between humanity and presumably the Decepticons, though a much bigger threat is starting to make itself known. It falls to Cade (Mark Wahlberg), Izabella (Isabela Moner), and Josh Duhamel (Colonel William Lennox) to do what they can as the Autobots fight against one of their own.
You can watch the new clip in the video above.
The Last Knight will likely be Michael Bay's final film in the franchise, but the series isn't going anywhere. Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura recently spoke of how this film will plant seeds for future installments.
"There's probably, in a really meaningful way, two or three things in this movie that really have a meaningful aspect, and then there's a bunch of little things. But we're not making this movie to set up the other movies. That's what I'm trying to say. If you get too carried away with that, you stop thinking about this movie. And this movie, the two lines of mythology give you freedom to go a lot of different places later on that may or may not directly relate to another movie, but it's opening up the universe in a way that's probably the most provocative, in terms of the movie. It's opening a really large universe of what Transformers is, and where they've come from, and how we relate to them, and how they relate to themselves."
Transformers: The Last Knight stars Mark Wahlberg (Planet of the Apes) as Cade Yeager, Isabela Moner (100 Things To Do Before High School) as Izabella, Josh Duhamel (Life as We Know It) as Lieutenant Colonel William Lennox, John Turturro (The Big Lebowski) as Seymour Simmons, and Tyrese Gibson (Furious 7) as Robert Epps, as well as Jerrod Carmichael (Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising), Anthony Hopkins (Thor: The Dark World). The voice cast includes Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime and John Goodman (10 Cloverfield Lane) as Hound.
