Aquaman Set Photo Shows Arthur And Mera Together For The First Time

A new photo from the set of Aquaman has revealed the first royal couple of the DC Extended Universe together for the very first time.

A photo Tweeted out by the Amber Heard Italia Twitter account has given fans their first look at Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry with his love, Mera, played by Amber Heard.

This is not the first time that we’ve seen Amber Heard in costume as Mera. Zack Snyder released a photo of Mera as she appears in Justice League. More recently, director James Wan revealed the first look at Mera’s appearance in Aquaman.

Aquaman will deal with Arthur Curry’s struggle to balance his life on the surface world with his responsibilities as the heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis.

Aquaman is directed by James Wan, from a screenplay by Will Beall, from a story by Wan and Geoff Johns, and stars Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Temuera Morrison, Ludi Lin, Nicole Kidman, and Dolph Lundgren.

Momoa debuted in the role of Aquaman with a brief cameo in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. He’ll next reprise his role as the future king of Atlantis in Justice League, the same film that will see Heard make her on-screen debut as Mera.
