No one seems to stay dead over on Supernatural. The number of bodies the The CW drama has racked up is impressive, but only a couple of them have stayed in the grave. Last season, Supernatural seemed to bid farewell to Crowley for good, but don’t expect other characters to go out the same wy. After all, it looks like Supernatural’s thirteenth season will bring back several long-dead faces.

UP NEXT: A New Supernatural Spin-Off Series Is On The Way
Recently, the cast of Supernatural appeared at San Diego Comic Con to promote the show’s next season. It was there executive producer Andrew Dabb teased fans about the series and its plans for resurrections.
“Some people that have been long dead in our show are less dead in the apocalyptic world,” he said (via TV Line).
Of course, fans already know a few characters will return through the show’s alternate reality. Bobby Singer was spotted in the finale of Season 12 even though he didn’t recognize the Winchesters. Another fan-favorite will also be returning to Supernatural as the psychic Missouri Moseley will make a comeback.
If you are behind on the show’s new space-and-time storyline, then you have a bit to catch up on. The last season of Supernatural ripped a hole through reality to open a doorway into a post-apocalyptic AU. Bobby and Mary are alive there, but the Winchester brothers were never born in that world. With Sam and Dead MIA, the pair weren’t able to save the world, and it fell into ruin. The brothers did make it out of the apocalyptic world, but it definitely doesn’t look like the series is ready to bid farewell to the AU just yet.
When Supernatural returns to The CW, fans should expect plenty of cross-dimensional drama. Mary and Lucifer are currently stuck in the AU, and you can bet the Winchester brothers may have to tread back into its clutches if they want to revive Castiel (yet again).
Supernatural returns for its 13th season on Thursday, October 12, in a new time (8/7c) on The CW.
