After years of waiting, there's finally light at the end of the tunnel. If you are a fan of Samurai Jack, then you've no doubt been waiting for the animated series to make a comeback. After all, there's no telling what the time-traveling samurai has been up to all these years, but audiences have been stuck waiting for Jack's return. Now, in just a few months, fans know the acclaimed series will make a mature comeback thanks to Adult Swim. And, most importantly, it looks like a trailer for season five of Samurai Jack is underway.

New Samurai Jack Season Premiere Date Revealed

Over on Twitter, one of Adult Swim's editors and online personalities tweeted about his work on the trailer. "Working hard on the new Samurai Jack trailer," Jonny Rej wrote. The tweet was accompanied by a photo of a mobile suit from the Gundam anime franchise, but fans are sounding off on their interest in Rej's Samurai Jack work.

Of course, Toonami fans will be familiar with Rej and his work. The employee began working for the program back in 1998 and acted as an editor. Rej would create promos, introductions, and television bumps for Toonami as well as trailer cuts. Since 2008, Rej has split his time between Adult Swim and Toonami, and it seems like he will be the man behind the first trailer forSamurai Jack's return.

Earlier this week, fans got their first update about the series thanks to Adult Swim. During a commercial break, a TV bump aired that released the premiere date for season five of Samurai Jack. When one fans asked whether Samurai Jack's new season was still happening, this is what Adult Swim had to say.

"March 11th, 11:30 p.m. is what's going on," the bump wrote. Then, when another fans asked about the show, the bump simply asked, "What did we just say?"

Several cast members will be returning to the 10-episode season such as Phil LaMarr who originally voiced the show's titular character. While LaMarr was initially unable to comment on his involvement with Samurai Jack's fifth season, the actor was later able to do so following an appearance at AwesomeCon 2016.

Samurai Jack will return to Cartoon Network on March 11th for its fifth season over on Adult Swim.
