The Code Geass spin-off Akito the Exiled is finally receiving an American release thanks to Funimation on June 27th of this year. Funimation announced on Twitter the lead voice actors for the English Dub, along with a new graphic showing off the main characters.

The female main, Leila Malcal, will be played by the voice actress Jeannnie Tirado. Jeannie Tirado is describes as, “The kind and fierce commander of the W-0 Unit, Leila Malcal was born a Britannian aristocrat but is a sympathizer of the Elevens. Though she fights in the E.U. army, she wants nothing more than to end the war.”
The male lead, Akito Hyuga, is going to be played by voice actor Micah Solusod. Hyuga is describes as, “The area Eleven-born man called Hannibal’s Ghost and the ace of the Wyvern Squad – Akito Hyuga is a force to be reckoned with. As mysterious as he is powerful, Akito holds a wicked gleam of power in his eye but under the command of Leila Malcal his wish for death turns to a will to live.”
Code Geass: Akito the Exiled is set to release as a Blue Ray/DVD combo pack comes bundled with five disks and character artwork, and is set to release on June 27, 2017. If you are unfamiliar with the OVA series, Funimation describes it as the following,
“Leila Malcal, commander of her very own W-0 unit for the European army, takes on dangerous missions with her powerful and mysterious lieutenant, Akito Hyuga. With a group of rebels on their side, they fight the Britannian army but face more than the typical perils of war. A foe from Akito’s past seeks his life and a dark power threatens all that Leila has worked for.”
