Sakura Haruno has gotten a bad reputation. The pink-haired ninja may have gotten on audience’s nerves years ago, but Sakura’s character literally powered-up in Naruto Shippuden. And, now, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations just proved why Sakura is as badass as her teammates.

Earlier today, Boruto released its 23rd episode, and the update featured one of the franchise’s best fights yet. After Sakura was taken hostage by Shin Uchiha, the girl begrudgingly heals the man as he spouts off his reasoning for world domination. Sakura listens patiently to get the information she needs from Shin before she confronts him, and the pair have one intense battle.

As you can see above, Sakura’s fight is the definition of chaotic. Shin is shown using his lightning-fast knife skills on Sakura, but the heroine dodges each attack. She throws several punches and manages to evade a lethal move from Shin’s Sharingan. Sakura proves more than once she’s able to give a vetted Sharigan user the slip, and her monstrous strength helps her distract the man long enough to slip a bomb tag right under his feet.

Over on Twitter, Naruto fans are screaming about Sakura’s battle and its choreography. The fight is a standout for Sakura and lives up to ones she had with Madara’s army and Sasori. You can check out some of the best reactions to Sakura and her undeniable strength in the slides below:

Yes, we can talk about it. Did you see the way Sakura threw a massive pillar at that guy’s head? It was pretty great.

Dragon Ball fans don’t need to worry about Sakura beating Goku. The two would more than likely get along. The same, however, can’t be said for poor Eren. He’s hot-headed.

If all of Boruto‘s filler content would be this smoothly executed, fans would never complain.

In the anime community, it’s become ‘cool’ to hate on Sakura. However, the girl would also think it’s ‘cool’ to punch haters in the face, so there is also that.

Boruto came out strong with its first real battle, so expectations for the skirmish which follow have a ridiculously high standard to live up to.
