As Boruto and his friends head into the graduation exam, by the sounds of these summaries for the next few episodes, it sounds like things are going to get pretty serious and fast.

With Boruto currently struggling to defeat Kakashi, it looks like he might pass his final school test sooner than we think.

As reported by Spiralling Sphere, the synopses for Episodes 37-39 reveal that the key Genin team seen in the original Boruto: Naruto the Movie (and as teased by a new visual teasing the new arc) and opening theme sequence is formed by Episode 38. The synopses are as follows:

Episode 37: A Shinobi's Resolution
"Boruto was the first to challenge the graduation exam's proctor Kakashi, after being the first to arrive at his location, however, he is easily held down. Furthermore, Kakashi criticized not only Boruto himself, but also all his classmates, leading Boruto to become extremely frustrated. Boruto's classmates arrive, and manage to free Boruto through a combined effort, allowing him to escape from Kakashi. Boruto is uncharacteristically depressed, so his classmates do their best to restore his spirits. Finding himself again, Boruto proposes a strategy to everyone."

Episode 38: Formation, Three Man Cells…?
"Boruto and his friends are successful in becoming apprentice ninja, 'Genin', their first step. Firstly, they must form their basic teams to carry out missions in, a three man cell. Boruto expected to group up with his close friend Shikadai; however, Shikadai is forming a cell with Inojin and Chocho, following in their parents' footsteps of the 'Inoshikacho' trio. Boruto then becomes grouped with Sarada and Mitsuki..."

Episode 39: The Path Illuminated by the Full Moon
"Mitsuki was originally from another village, the Village of the Hidden Sound. But since meeting with Boruto and the others, Mitsuki has decided that he will now remain at the Village of the Hidden Leaf and become a ninja. In the past, Mitsuki has had his memory taken away from him, and had lost his identity, along with what he wants to achieve in life, only to awaken in an unfamiliar laboratory. The mystery that surrounds Mitsuki, and the plethora of thoughts that surround him, has now cleared up for him."

By the synopses, Boruto and his friends will pass the exam by the end of the next episode, and the team of Boruto, Sarada, and Mitsuki will fully form by episode after. It's good news for Boruto fans who have grown weary of their time at the academy for sure.

For those unfamiliar with Naruto, it has quite a storied history. Originally created by Masashi Kishimoto, the series ran in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump for 700 chapters. The story follows Naruto, a young ninja with a sealed demon within him taht wishes to become the leader of his home village. The sequel, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is set several years after the events of the original Naruto story and featuring the children of many of its key characters such as Naruto and Hinata.
