There’s a popular Facebook page called “Celine a Scene” that adds Celine Dion’s classic song “My Heart Will Go On” to various movie, TV, or pop culture moments. Inevitably, Dion’s powerful voice makes these scenes even more beautiful, amazing (and hilarious).
Earlier this month, Celine a Scene made some improvements to the climactic scene in Pokemon: The First Movie, when Ash is accidentally transformed to stone while trying to stop Mew and Mewtwo’s epic battle. The scene, which has been described (by me) as the most heartbreaking moment in cinema history, somehow becomes even more emotional when “My Heart Will Go On” is synced up perfectly to the battle.

While “My Heart Will Go On” was made for James Cameron’s Titantic soundtrack, the above video makes it clear that it’s clearly an anthem about Pokemon. After all, no one really cared about Leonardo DiCaprio getting dumped into the icy waters of the Atlantic, but every child teared up when they saw Pikachu desperately try to shock Ash back to life.
