If you didn’t think Zen-Oh would make good on his destructive threats, then you have another thing coming. Dragon Ball Super returned this weekend with an action-packed episode that brought an end to Universe 9. After the universe’s team lost at the Tournament of Power, fans watched as Zen-Oh gleefully destroyed the galaxy and its millions – if not billions – of inhabitants.
Yeah, yikes.
The episode started off with Goku getting surrounded by Universe 9 as its fighters held a grudge against the Saiyan. The hero did falter against the onslaught, but Universe 9 just couldn’t hold up to Goku when he went Super Saiyan and tag-teamed with Vegeta. The pairing ultimately left the Trio de Dangers and all of Universe 9 sidelined, and Zen-Oh was quick to annihilate their universe.
The shocking scene, which can be watched below, is chilling to any fan. Zen-Oh cheers in joy when he destroys the universe, and the Grand Priest seems pleased by the culling. Even the Angel of Universe 9 smirks at the loss while the rest of the tournament’s competitors watch in shock. Even Beerus looks properly threatened by the scene, and Universe 9 is only the victim to be destroyed. Before the Tournament of Power ends, another 6 will be obliterated as well.
Over online, Dragon Ball fans are sharing their surprise over the loss of Universe 9, and plenty of memes are being used instead of words. The loss happened so suddenly after the start of the Tournament of Power that fans were blindsided by the loss. So, if you want to pay tribute to the fighters of Universe 9, you can hit us up on Twitter @ComicBook or @MeganPetersCB to mourn.
Ignoring the hair here, Javier Bardem looks too much like the Angel Mojito following the annihilation of Universe 9. Toei Animation should call the guy’s agent.

watched the latest episode of DBS, Zeno-sama is savage, and the grand priest definitely evil, Even Universe 9’s angel is not right . ๐
In the real world, angels are thought to be terrifying creatures of peace, but Dragon Ball Super isn’t a fan of such ideals. Instead, the anime would lean towards making its angels likely antagonists rearing to mess Goku’s life up.
Sometimes, when you don’t know how to react to something tragic, laughing is about the only thing you can do. If Mister Satan were at the Tournament of Power, he’d be cracking up right about now.
