If you’re catching up with Dragon Ball Super‘s English dub, then you were in for a treat last night. The anime returned to Toonami to debut its 32nd episode, and the release introduced fans to a brand-new Saiyan.
As you can see here, Goku and Vegeta bring their squad to meet several fighters from Universe 6. The two groups will soon go head-to-head in a tournament set up by their gods of destruction, but Goku was not ready for Cabba’s domain to have Saiyans. The episode shows a short boy with spiked hair walking up to Goku and Vegeta before he reveals his Saiyan heritage.
The fighter, whose name is Cabba, is excited to meet Saiyans from Universe 7 – but he was not ready for all their questions. Goku is the first to ask Cabba about his missing tail, but the boy doesn’t appear to have any idea about the appendage. The differences between the groups only grows when Vegeta questions Cabba about his race’s history.
According to Cabba, the Saiyans of Universe 6 were never enslaved by Freeza. They still call Planet Sadala their home, and Cabba was trained their to become part of the Saiyan’s police force. Unlike Universe 7, Cabba’s race is rather peaceful and are hired to protect worlds rather than conquer them.
When Cabba learns of his elders’ past, the boy is noticeably scared by Vegeta and Goku. After all, the pair come from a Saiyan lineage that is bred from blood.
“Wow, your Saiyans sound like nice people,” Goku coos. “They’re like totally different.”
Cabba isn’t allowed to stay scared for long; After all, Vegeta puts the boy to rest by assuring Cabba his race isn’t looking to conquer anymore. The admission eases Cabba, and the pair get ready to undertake a written exam that’ll proceed their battles in an upcoming tournament.
