Here's What Super Saiyan God Vegeta Could Look Like in the Anime

Dragon Ball Super has introduced a slew of new forms to fans, but Super Saiyan God has gotten a bit shafted. The transformation first debuted under Goku, but Vegeta tapped into the power in the manga. Still, the anime has yet to see Vegeta go SSG, and one fan is helping fans envision how the power would translate on screen.

Over on Reddit, user Trever09 posted their rendition of SSG Vegeta in the anime. The image, which can be seen below, shows the Saiyan powering up as yellow-red aura surrounds him. Vegeta's hair turns a distinct shade of pinkish-red, and the hero's eyes and brows are dyed to match.

Fans are looking the fan-art thanks to its insane detailing. Many have commented they first believed the artwork was a leak from the anime, but there is no reason to believe the show will have Vegeta go SSG anytime soon. This art is the closest fans will get for a bit, and it has got the fandom all the more antsy for Akira Toriyama to squeeze the transformation in for Vegeta.

If you are familiar with the Dragon Ball Super manga, then you will know SSG Vegeta has appeared in its pages. During the 'Future Trunks' saga, fans watched as Vegeta debuted his ability to go SSG when he fought Goku Black and Future Zamasu. The hero swapped between the form and Super Saiyan Blue to extend his stamina as long as possible, and Vegeta's strategy managed to overwhelm Super Saiyan Rose Goku Black for a period of time.

So far, Vegeta has only used SSG in the manga during his climatic battle with Zamasu, but fans are hopeful the form will appear again. Goku and Vegeta both favor using SSB because of its insane power, but there is something to be said about SSG. The stunning transformation gives its user a big speed boost and lessens their reaction times, so Vegeta may find himself in a fight soon which prompts SSG's return.

Dragon Ball Super's "Universal Survival" saga is part of the recent simulcast agreement that sites like Crunchyroll and Funimation have scored. Dragon Ball Super airs on Crunchyroll Saturdays at 7:15 p.m. CST. Toonami airs the English dub on Adult Swim Saturdays at 11:30 p.m.
