In upcoming episodes of Dragon Ball Super, fans will be shown some different kinds of Namekians as Universe 6 introduces two new characters which fans haven’t seen yet. The characters have been all been confirmed as the Namekians faces and names were recently revealed! Saoneru and Pirina are the two Universe 6 fighters who look ready to set the Tournament of Powers stage alight.

If you’re wondering why there are Namekians and Saiyans in both Universe 6 and 7, it is because they are twin universes with many similar characteristics; However, they do have some key differences. Fans can assume these new Namekian warriors will be strong just as the Piccolo is from Universe 7 is, but no one can know to what extent.

The Namekian race in Universe 7 can absorb or fuse with other Namekians which increases their strength exceptionally. With the abilities of Universe 6 and 7’s Saiyans being so similar, fans can assume the Universe 6 Namekians can do the same as Piccolo. This could mean these two Namekian warriors may have absorbed other fighters, maybe even more so than Piccolo since the latter has just absorbed both Kami and Nail in the past.

However, fans can’t assume these Namekians are peaceful just like Universe 7’s fighters since fans have seen a number of baddies competing in the Tournament of Power. Frieza and Frost are two examples of villains entering the ring, so there’s no reason these new fighters have to be good as well. These guys may be as evil as Piccolo was in the past, so they are fighters worth keeping an eye on.

The synopsis of Dragon Ball Super‘s current saga can be read here: “According to an invitation that Goku gets, Zen-Oh (Omni King) is starting a martial arts tournament between all the universes called “Chikara no Taikai” (Tournament of Power). But it is the beginning of universal destruction. Something awaits the winners and losers of this tournament. What will become of this fierce team battle between each universe’s elite warriors?

Dragon Ball Super‘s “Universal Survival” saga is part of the recent simulcast agreement that sites like Crunchyroll and Funimation have scored. Dragon Ball Super airs on Crunchyroll Saturdays at 7:15 p.m. CST. Toonami airs the English dub on Adult Swim Saturdays at 11:30 p.m.
