‘One Piece’ Unmasked Katakuri & Fans Are Freaking Out

Warning! Major spoilers for One Piece‘s 883rd chapter lie below!

When it comes to One Piece, the franchise has dozens of villains for fans to choose from. The navy isn’t the only think Luffy has to worry about on the high seas, and Charlotte Katakuri proved that as of late. The pirate has kept Luffy busy with battle over in the manga, and fans finally got to see what Katakuri’s face looks like.

As you can see below, fans are more than a bit shocked by what they found.

The chapter began with Katakuri growing bored of his on-going battle with Luffy. In a final bid to take Luffy out, Katakuri shows haste and uses his Mirror Mochi attack to seemingly suffocate Luffy. The villain very seriously tells his underlings he needs to eat in order to up his stamina, and the chefs are amazed Katakuri is still so demur after his long battle. However, that image gets shattered soon enough.

As it turns out, Katakuri made a grave error in assuming Luffy would be killed by his mochi; The pirate caption simply ate through the sweet and comes out looking to swing at Katakuri. While the chefs think Katakuri has left the Mirror Dimension, he has simply hidden himself away to unmask and eat. Luffy blows down the hut the villain is eating in, and everyone is stunned by what they find.

Katakuri’s somber demeanor is gone as he fawns over his love of donuts. The man, whose massive mouth has been revealed, is seen lying down as eats some huge donuts. Katakuri’s underlings are horrified as they have been told the villain has never laid down before, making them do a double-take at Katakuri’s relaxed state. The villain ultimately kills the chefs to ensure no one ever learns about his form, and Katakuri is determined to defeat Luffy for outing him. And, as you can see in the slides below, the entire One Piece fandom is beside themselves over how quickly the manga just shattered Katakuri’s chic persona.
