The Beginning After The End was one of the most highly anticipated isekai of 2025, that is, until many anime fans witnessed the anime adaptation for themselves. The series had a strong fan following before hitting the screen, thanks to the popularity of its WEBTOON, but many viewers believed that the anime adaptation wasn’t able to live up to its source material. With the second season confirmed earlier this year, The Beginning After The End is hinting at another major announcement for the story of Arthur. Set to arrive sooner than you might expect, it’s clear the isekai has something big brewing.

In a recent update, The Beginning After The End confirmed that it will release new information on October 9th later this month. Whether this relates to season two and/or the original WEBTOON series is anyone’s guess, though the reception to this news might be mixed across the board. The first anime season was one that Studio A-Cat released to serious controversy, as viewers believed the animation was so sub-par that there were even campaigns forged to cancel the series. When the anime was announced for a second season, the reaction from anime fans was mixed, though the creator seemed to take the criticisms in stride.
The Beginning After The End’s Creator Speaks
The author of the original WEBTOON series, TurtleMe, spoke about the anime adaptation shortly following the season two announcement stating, “With Season 1 now at its end and Season 2 officially announced to come next year, I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone involved in this massive endeavor. Writing The Beginning After the End was a journey that I walked alone for a long time. That isn’t the case anymore. With each iteration of the series, my team has expanded to the point where I find it unimaginable what sort of state TBATE would’ve been in if I had tried to do it all myself. With the anime, it was even larger. There were so many moving parts and pieces of the puzzle that needed to click into place at the right time that I’m still in disbelief that we made it this far.”
TurtleMe continued, “I’m thankful that I have the opportunity to continue showcasing the series as an anime and hope that we continue to grow and improve the longer this goes on. Thank you all for your patience and support throughout this time, and I hope that it only continues to get better from here. There are so many people working behind the scenes that helped make the anime happen, but I wanted to give a thank you to my editors as well as the teams over at Crunchyroll, Tapas, and A-Cat for their hard work.”
If you have yet to see The Beginning After The End, the first season is available to stream on Crunchyroll. With the second season still months away as its 2026 release window approaches, you have some time to see whether the anime does live up to its source material.
