Star Wars Writer Wood To Tackle All-Female X-Men With Olivier Coipel?

Dark Horse's Star Wars writer Brian Wood and House of M artist Olivier Coipel will be the creative team for one of the final new titles for Marvel NOW!, as the publisher have just released a teaser image featuring a DNA helix and a double-X along with the creators' names. Wood, who has been working on Ultimate X-Men for the publisher, will apparently jump to the 616 Universe with a new X-title which, odds are, will be female-centric, given the double-X chromosome reference in the teaser. It's hard to say what the lineup might be, exactly, although in the wake of Avengers vs. X-Men, there's certainly an opportunity to introduce new mutants to the mix. A safe bet might even be that such a team coule be headed up by Rogue and Scarlet Witch, currently the odd couple of Uncanny Avengers but certainly ideally situated to be leaders among almost any group of young mutants, doubly so given their roles in the recent crossovers. If Marvel remains true to form, we'll see a formal announcement a week from today or so.
