Arrow Ratings Hit Another Season High With Barry Allen Episode

topped 3 million viewers again last night for another season high in the ratings, drawing a 1.1 rating in the key 18-49 demographic. The episode, which guest-starred Grant Gustin as Barry Allen, was the first half of a two-part midseason finale that will wrap next Wednesday and is widely expected to at least allude to Allen gaining his speed powers for a Flash pilot currently in the works from Arrow's Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg. David Nutter, who directed both the Arrow pilot and the Game of Thrones "Red Wedding" episode, will tackle the Scarlet Speedster's pilot, which is expected to air on The CW in 2014. It's not yet clear whether Allen will make another appearance in the second half of Arrow's season; he was originally expected to get a backdoor pilot via the twentieth episode of Arrow this season, but those plans were scrapped when The CW elected to move forward with a full Flash pilot right away.
