Avatar Press today officially announced the forthcoming collected edition of World War Z author Max Brooks’s zombies-versus-vampires series The Extinction Parade, based on a novella by the author and featuring art by Raulo Caceres.No firm release date is yet set for the 160-page trade paperback collection, but you can order it from comics retailers via the May solictation form in Previews.No relation to Marvel’s Empire of the Dead, which takes on the same basic premise, but written by Night of the Living Dead co-creator and director George A. Romero and taking place in the world of his movies. Brooks’s version predates Romero’s (currently ongoing) series by quite a bit.
