If there’s one event comic fans looks forward to every year, it has to be San Diego Comic-Con. The first one went down in 1970 with a mere 145 people in attendance and has since grown into a pop culture mega-event with over 150,000 people attending the last few years. Even if you can’t personally be there, it’s still an exciting week for fans around the world thanks to the outstanding news we always get surrounding movies, television, comics, and video games.

ComicBook.com is going to be right in the middle of all of the action and we’re so excited about our upcoming trip to San Diego that we’ve whipped up a video of the 10 best things we want to see at this year’s San Diego Comic Con!

One of those things is our third choice on the list: Deadpool 2, more specifically, getting our first official look at Josh Brolin as Cable. For months, speculation ran rampant as to who would be playing the time-traveling straight man to Wade Wilson. Everyone from Brad Pitt to Michael Shannon to Pierce Brosnan were rumored, but lo and behold, it was Josh Brolin who finally nabbed the part as Deadpool’s best buddy.

Brolin’s casting is controversial, for sure, thanks mostly to the fact that Josh Brolin is already slated to appear in next year’s Avengers: Infinity War as the power-hungry supervillain Thanos. Up to this point, all we’ve had are behind-the-scenes teases like make-up tests to see what Brolin might look like as Cable, but we’re hoping to get to see an official look for the character by way of a promo or a teaser trailer.
